Discover the process of creating a QR code for your website, Instagram or Google Reviews page
Begin by opening your web browser and heading over to www.qrcode-monkey.com.
Once you're on the site, you should see the area titled "Your URL". This is where you can paste the URL of the website that you want customers to go to when they scan your QR code.
Now, let's talk about colours. Choose a shade that stands out but isn't too flashy. Maybe choose a colour that represents your business best, or matches your business logo. Dark colours usually scan best, so keep that in mind.
Backgrounds matter too. Generally, I recommend selecting a white background. It helps the QR code stand out against any surface it's placed on.
Want to personalise it even more? You can upload your business logo! Just click the upload logo, button and follow the prompts. I also recommend at this point clicking the "remove background behind logo" button, as it creates a nice square around your logo and looks tidier in general.
Fancy shapes are fun, but let's keep it simple for now. Stick to the classic square shape; it's what people are used to and makes it easily recognisable that it's a QR code.
Take your time adjusting the settings until you're satisfied with how everything looks.
When you're ready, click the "Create QR code" button on the right. It'll take a moment, but soon you'll have your very own QR code ready to go!
Need to adjust the size? A standard size like 1000x1000 usually works well for most purposes, but if you're using this on the side of your van or on something large, increase the size and quality and you'll have a clearer image to work with.
Once you're happy with everything, it's time to save your creation. Choose the PNG file format for versatility.
If you find yourself making QR codes regularly, consider signing up for an account. It'll make the process smoother in the long run.
Double-check everything, then hit that download button. Your QR code is now safely stored on your device.
Congratulations! You've successfully created your very own QR code. Now you can use it to direct people to your website with ease. Easy peasy!
