JS Gas & Oil are Gas Safe registered heating engineers serving Rossendale, Burnley, Rochdale, and the wider East Lancashire area. Boiler repairs, servicing, installations, gas work, and oil heating. The full range. The type of business that's been quietly doing great work for years. The problem? They were quiet online too.

The challenge

Where they started

Limited visibility beyond Rossendale. The home patch was partially covered, but Burnley and Rochdale customers had no way of finding them.

Only a handful of keywords ranking anywhere near the top of Google. Most of the area's heating searches were going to competitors.

Google Business Profile was partially optimised at best. The foundation for local visibility wasn't there.

Built dedicated service-location pages for every key service across all three target markets.

Regular posting schedule, review replies, and consistent activity signals to keep the profile active and climbing.

Citation building across trade directories and local Lancashire business listings.

The results

What happened next

In six months, JS Gas & Oil went from a couple of keywords in the top 5 to nine. Seventeen keywords now rank in the top 10. Five terms hold the #1 spot on Google Maps. Burnley, which started from scratch, already has keywords ranking. And their Google profile pulls a 15.2% action rate. One in six people who find them takes action.
